One of the most rewarding things about researching and writing The Deep was learning the amazing backstories of so many of the people on board the Titanic. It was remarkable story after remarkable story. One character, Violet Jessop, really did survive the sinkings of the Titanic and Britannic. Who was she and what role does she play in the novel?
