Halime is portrayed as a loyal woman, who is ready to do anything for Ertuğrul. This is shown in season 1 when Ameer El Aziz proposed to her.
She is also a skilled fighter like Aykiz as she quickly adapts to the fighting styles after marrying Ertuğrul. Her warrior personality is shown throughout the series.
Despite her living at the Kayi tribe, Halime is well-educated since she had lived at the palace for many years. Ertugrul, before he learnt to read, would ask her to read the letters sent in season 1.
Although she has many good qualities, Halime is also naive and cannot control her emotions. This is shown several times when Ertugrul tells her to stop talking.

Halime Sultan met Ertugrul for the first time when he rescued her from the Templars in Season 1 Ep. 1. Both of them developed feelings for one another the moment they saw each other, though Ertugrul was the first one to express it. She was willing to sacrifice herself and let Ertugrul stay in the tribe when it needed him. Halime and Ertugrul's relationship remained the same with no lessening in Season 2. Halime and Hayme Ana had a healthy relationship like a daughter and Mother. Even before getting married to Ertugrul, Hayme Ana was extremely welcoming to her. After marriage, Halime and Hayme Ana discussed different things with one another. Hayme Ana always asked Halime's opinion on things When Ertugrul's younger brother Dundar wanted to marry Guneyli, Halime opposed it because she doubted Guneyli and Hayme Ana scolded her. However after Guneyli was proven guilty Hayme Ana apologized to Halime and agreed she was right.

Selcan had disliked Halime immensely when she had first arrived at the Kayi Tribe because she knew Ertugrul and Halime likes one another, and Selcan wanted her younger sister Gokce Hatun to marry Ertugrul. However, at the end of Season 1, she repents and befriends Halime. Halime and Selcan were close as sisters in Season 2, and Halime always supported Selcan in her investigations against Aytolun and Gongacal. Selcan even saved Halime's life when Aytolun was trying to kill her. Both of them were crying when they parted in migration. Selcan was always loyal to Halime even after her death. Selcan also comforted Osman when he longed for a mother and offered to be a mother to him.

Aykız Hatun (portrayed by Hande Subaşı) – The daughter of Deli Demir and the childhood lover and first wife of Turgut Alp. One of the bravest of the Kayı Hatuns, she was the first woman to support Halime Hatun upon her much-contested arrival at the tribe. Took good care of Turgut while he recuperated from his brainwashing.
