Nirmal Patel is a Clinical Professor of Surgery and was born in England and emigrated to Newcastle, Australia at the age of 5. He grew up in Newcastle went to Merewether Public School, St Pius/ St Francis Xavier School and then moved to Sydney for Medical school at the University of Sydney.
