    Bress graduated magna cum laude with his A.B. in government from Harvard College in 2001. He obtained his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2005. During his legal studies, Bress served as editor-in-chief of the Virginia Law Review. He also received the Roger and Madeleine Traynor Award.
