Carole Hopson is a Boeing 737 Captain for United Airlines, based in Newark, NJ. After a remarkable 20-year career as a journalist and executive, she followed her dream to become a pilot and share her passion with others as a flight instructor, while raising money her family.
Hopson was thirty-two years old when she took her first flight lesson, and it would take her nearly twenty more years to land her dream job, as a commercial pilot with United Airlines. Now she has a new mission: making her profession more accessible to other Black women.
