Brian Garrett was educated at St Andrews and Oxford universities, and has taught at ANU since 1990. He is the author of three books—Personal Identity and Self-consciousness, What is this thing called Metaphysics? and Elementary Logic—plus numerous articles. His main area of interest is metaphysics.
