You and your family are welcome to visit our preschool. Please click the link below to book a tour. All tours are a maximum of 15 minutes and are available before and after the school day at 8.00am and 3.00pm. Tours are offered on Tuesday & Wednesday from 23 July - 27 September.
The Killarney School is a community-based, not-for-profit preschool, founded in Mosman in 1902. With our long history and reputation for teaching excellence, Killarney School takes pride in the long-standing reputation we have in the local community.

- Ross Castle. History enthusiasts will find delight in visiting Ross Castle, a medieval fortress situated on the edge of Lough Leane. Built in the 15th century(Irish chieftain O’Donoghue Mór), this well-preserved castle offers guided tours, where you can learn about the MacCarthy dynasty, tales of battles, and the rich heritage of the region.

Ross Castle
Ross Castle is one of my favourite stops in Killarney. The 15thcentury castle sits on the edge of Lough Leane in Killarney National Park. It overlooks the lake and distant mountains and there always seem to be white swans around adding to the fairy-tale allure. The castle is opened seasonally for tours, however, anyone can visit and explore the outside for free.
Muckross Abbey
Only about a five-minute walk from another main attraction, Muckross House, is Muckross Abbey; an Old Irish Monastery. This building dates back to the beginning of the Christian religion in Ireland. The first monastery was believed to have been built in the 6thcentury by Saint Fionan. Today, visitors can explore the ruins of a 15thcentury Franciscan Friary which was abandoned in the 1650s when the monks were driven out by Cromwell’s forces.
