The Castle of Beja (Portuguese: Castelo de Beja) is a medieval castle in the civil parish of Beja, municipality of Beja, Portuguese district of Beja.
Beja Castle (Castelo de Beja) in Beja in the Alentejo region of Portugal was constructed by Dom Dinis and the 42 metre-tall Torre de Menagem has great views over the surrounding countryside. Various Portuguese monarchs had a hand in assorted stages of construction of the castle over the centuries.
Beja Castle, while resting on Roman fortifications, was rebuilt by king Dinis in 1310. This is the structure, part of the king´s reinforcement of national defences, that can now be seen.

The present castle was built by King Denis [Diniz], who ruled Portugal and the Algarve from 1279 until his death in 1325. The castle was built at the dominate position in the strategic town of Beja, atop the remains of a Roman fort and a Moorish castle.
