Tytan is a British rock band that lasted about two years during the early 1980s, founded by former Angel Witch bassist Kev Riddles. The album Rough Justice was released after their split. They formed during the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement and are best known for their strong melodies.

- Savage – Loose N’ Lethal (1983) As soon as first track “Let It Loose” kicks you in the danglies, Savage‘s Loose N’ Lethal‘s purist speed/thrash credentials are authenticated; this album should have been as big as Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All, it’s that good and frankly it’s that similar.

Dec 12, 2017 · The history of Tytan turned out to be short lived: in March 1982, they signed to Kamaflage Records and later that year they managed to release their first (and final) single, by the title of “Blind Men & Fools”.
Signed to Kamaflage Records, a subsidiary of DJM, Tytan recorded their lone album at Ramport Studios in Battersea with Will Reid-Dick manning the boards. Former Judas Priest and Lionheart drummer Les Binks joined the band just in time for the recording in place of Dave Dufort.
Bandleader, keyboardist and bassist Kevin Riddles served a tour of duty in the original incarnation of Angel Witch before departing from that outfit when live gigs started drying up - and in a surprise twist of fate, ex-Judas Priest drummer Les Binks was drafted in to replace Dave Dufort (who himself was another Angel Witch refugee).
Tytan was a nwobhm band formed in 1981. Kevin Riddles & Dave Dufort had both left Angelwitch, Kal Swan came on recommendation from Paul Samson. The first line up was Norman 'Kal' Swan (Vocalist), Steve Gibbs and Stuart Adams (Guitarists), Kevin 'Skidz' Riddles (Bassist) and Dave Dufort (Drums).
Years active: 1981-1983, 2010-present. The band broke up in 1983, so Rough Justice was released posthumously in 1985. Reformed as of 2010, they were the first confirmed act for the 15th anniversary edition of the Keep It True festival, in 2012, in Lauda-Königshofen, Germany.
