  1. Plenty of free weights and plenty of room to do stuff. Can get busy during prime time for gyms, but that never hindered me personally. If you can go earlier, there won’t be huge crowds. Don’t go here expecting to do cardio. RPAC: can do anything here, but it’s by far the most crowded.

  2. Right now all the gyms are busy but I'd go with either NRC or RPAC based on what you're saying, RPAC is bigger so more machines, but can be far away on West Campus, NRC is smaller but maybe closer to you if you live on or around North, also heard it can get more busy though.

  3. It seems like most people have already covered the basics. I'll add that there are (were) 4 main gyms on campus; RPAC (west, biggest gym), Jesse Owens North (north, older but more serious), Jesse Owens South (south, same as JON), and the North Rec Center (north, more of a casual gym).
