  1. The Beach Movie Filming Location: Most of the movie adaptation of “The Beachwas filmed on Thailand’s Maya Bay, an insanely picturesque spot with glass-clear water that is completely flat. Large, jungle-covered cliffs nearly surround the entire bay, which is located on Ko Phi Phi Leh on Thailand’s east coast (somewhat close to Krabi and Phuket ).

    • Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows (Parts 1 & 2) Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire. Freshwater West is the spectacular setting for Shell Cottage in both the Deathly Hallows films, and the scenes of Dobby the house-elf’s death and burial were filmed here (pictured on previous pages).

    • Seven Sisters, East Sussex. Known as the Seven Sisters these chalk cliffs tower over the English Channel between Cuckmere Haven and Birling Gap. Whilst it can't be denied the landscape here is pretty dramatic, it seems the chief appeal to film-makers is as a stand-in for the famous White Cliffs of Dover.
    • Kynance Cove, Cornwall. Kynance Cove is without doubt one of Cornwall's most unique (and Instagrammed) places. Here turquoise water meets a collection of curiously-shaped rock formations and islands.
