Dec 27, 2022 · Crafting Components, also known as Crafting Materials, are needed to craft or upgrade an item. These are scattered all over Night City where they can be looted, bought from vendors, or acquired by levelling up your Skills.
I was able to make about 800 crafting components in a little over an hour. This method cost about 500,000 eddies. Step 1: Find a clothing store that sells tier 5 (orange) items, and ONLY buy the hats, masks, and glasses. They will cost under 1k eddies each.

There is a near-infinite amount of weapons, gear, and mods to find in Cyberpunk 2077, each with its own set of unique attributes that can affect the way you play through the story. This crafting guide has been updated for Cyberpunk 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion.
This section of the guide will walk you through Crafting, including how to craft, how to obtain components, and more.
•How to Craft Weapons, Clothing, Mods, and More
Crafting can be done at any time in Cyberpunk 2077 as it is done through your main menu. To find this section, open your menu and navigate to the Inventory tab, then down to Crafting.
You'll see all of the items that you can craft on the left side of the screen. There are also categories across the top if you want to specifically look at weapons, clothing, mods, and more.
Items with a red background cannot be crafted, as you lack the required components or materials needed at this time.
Select a valid item that you want to craft and you'll be shown a preview screen showing you the component needed near the bottom, as well as potential stats and attributes for that specific item. With the 2.0 update, crafting and upgrading now only require one type of component instead of multiple.
Similar to crafting, you can also choose to upgrade items in your inventory. However, with the 2.0 update, apart from cyberware, now only Iconic weapons can be upgraded.
To access the upgrades section, open your menu and navigate to the Crafting tab underneath Inventory. Then, select Upgrades in the next submenu.
In this section, you'll see all of the upgradeable items in your inventory on the left side of the screen. Select an item that you want to upgrade and you'll see a preview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected stats of the item will be after upgrading, as well as the required component or material needed.
Click and hold the Upgrade button at the bottom to confirm the change.
Components are essential for crafting and upgrading your weapons and gear in Cyberpunk 2077. Thankfully, they are abundant and can be found just about anywhere.
The easiest way to acquire components is to disassemble your existing weapons and gear that you don't want. By doing this, you'll receive a portion of crafting components back that can be used for something else.
Alternatively, you can loot crafting components in the world. Look out for containers containing these components as you explore Night City, as they are usually hidden in plain sight.
In the Phantom Liberty expansion, you can also earn crafting materials by completing Airdrops and Vehicle Contract Missions.
A great way to find crafting materials in Cyberpunk 2077 is by finding a reliable farming spot. YouTuber Radical Dave Gaming did just that with a spot by the pier in Pacifica!
To get to this location, start from the Batty's Hotel fast travel point in Pacifica (it's located right near the Chapel fast travel point on its western side).
From here, take one of your vehicles down the road toward the water and continue following the road as it curves left. Follow this road until there's a path on your right you can take onto the beach. Hop out here, and you'll see several groups of enemies camped out along the shoreline. Equip your weapon, and get ready to rumble, picking up the weapons and gear that they drop along the way.
When you've cleared the area, head back over to your vehicle and drive underneath the pier, then do a full turnaround to head back to the beach. It will have reloaded with enemies again, so you can keep going! Once you've collected as many items as you can, take them apart to get the crafting components you need.

Disassembling weapons is by far the best method of collecting components within Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, and you want to start breaking items down as early as you can.
Sep 26, 2023 · Practically all junk items you’ll find can be dismantled into Tier 1 components, while Tier 2 and Tier 3 can be obtained from dismantling items of a similar tier. You can also simply craft a Tier 2 component with 5 Tier 1 components, or craft Tier 3 components with five from Tier 2.
Crafting requires specific components that can be purchased from stores, looted from bodies, or acquired from disassembling items*. These components are also used to upgrade existing cyberware and Iconic weapons to a higher Tier.
