Mar 22, 2016 · Thanks for the reply Jessen. No, I have not made any changes to this computer and no, there are no contacts listed in the C:\users\username\Contacts folder. I did not think there would be anything listed there because this is a Windows 10 computer and I thought that the new folder for address information (names, email addresses, telephone numbers, etc.) is now called People in Windows 10.
Nov 20, 2014 · The Contacts folder is a special folder, in that doesn't have an absolute path, and can thus be relocated but still found by applications that depend upon it. But, Windows Contacts, as it is actually called, is also a full-fledged contacts manager, complete with all kinds of functionality that you'd expect to find in a typical address book.

In People, select Deleted. Find and select the contact you want to restore. Right-click and select Restore. Recover contacts that have been removed from your Deleted folder. If you can't find a contact in the Deleted folder, the next place to look is the Recoverable folder. From the navigation pane, select People.
When you export your contacts from new Outlook, a copy of your contacts is saved to a CSV file. You can then use this file to import your contacts to another email account. On the side panel select People. From the ribbon, select Manage contacts > Export contacts. In the dropdown under Contacts from this folder, choose an option then select Export.
