    Registration is the first step for candidates who wish to be considered for a place at King’s College School. We recommend that you register at the end of Year 5 or the start of year 6, no later than the deadline, which is in early November of year 6.     A short while after the registration deadline has passed, we will ask your son's head teacher for a confidential reference.

    You may want to apply for a place at King’s for your son but are worried about being able to pay the fees.     The 11+ entrance examinations take place in December when boys are in year 6. There are three examinations: English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning.     In January you will be told whether or not your son has been invited back to be interviewed. If so, he will come to King’s to be interviewed by our kind and experienced staff. If your son is not offered an interview we will, sadly, not be taking his application forward.

    Offers are made in mid-February. Those boys who will not be receiving an offer from us will also be informed on that day.
