Durham Town Hall is a municipal building in the Market Place, Durham, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. [1] History. The Great Hall. The current complex replaced an earlier timber guildhall on the site which was built in 1356 and replaced by a stone structure commissioned by Bishop Cuthbert Tunstall in 1535. [2] .

Entry is free, come along to discover this unique hidden gem. The Durham Town Hall is open every Saturday as part of Saturday Heritage from 10.00am to 3.00pm, except for Saturday 13 July. Reception is open for enquiries Monday to Friday 8.00am until 4.00pm.
