Biography. Mack Robinson was a fine athlete, but he is best known as the brother of Jackie Robinson, the first black to play major league baseball in the 20th century. In 1936, Mack Robinson was attending Pasadena Junior College, but he later enrolled at the University of Oregon and won the NCAA 220 y in 1938. He also won the AAU 200 m that year.
