Goldberg is married to Jessica Gavora, chief speechwriter and former senior policy adviser to former Attorney General John Ashcroft. They have one daughter, and they live in the Palisades, Washington, D.C. neighborhood. Goldberg's brother, Joshua, died in 2011 from accidental injuries.
