I always assumed he went to a prep school, then undergraduate at Harvard, then medical school. Was it a year exchange program of sorts? Frasier has an MD and a PhD and it is intimated that while at Harvard he did an exchange at Oxford to get his PhD. Niles did the dame but at Yale and Cambridge.
