Oct 1, 2017 · Enjoy a bottle of Gibraltar beer as you goggle at the panorama that surrounds you: to your north lies Spain, whilst to the south you can clearly see the north coast of Morocco. This is presumably the local drinking spot for a certain group of Gibraltarians, as the majority of the territory’s Barbery macaques live up here.
The Lord Nelson is one of our favourite pubs in Gibraltar, without a shadow of a doubt. The place is a beer lover’s paradise, a lager and ale house on Grand Casemates Square that is a great place to watch sports, meet some interesting locals, or simply drink a load of plonk with a good book.

Bushy’s bottled Gibraltar Barbary Beer (4.4%) has obviously improved a lot, gaining the character of a northern best bitter and a few hops grown in Gibraltar’s Botanical Gardens.
The Square Cafe – Many of the popular Gibraltar bars are located in the lively Grand Casemates Square where visitors can enjoy traditional fish & chips along with a pint of beer or glass of wine in The Square Cafe. They also do a good selection of bottled beers, and impromptu BBQ's in their courtyard seating area during the summer months.
