  2. Dec 4, 2023 · I am using Mac Mail 12.4 on a 2013 iMac with Mojave. When I go to the MAIL folder, I cannot see any folders or files for each of the folders I created. I as told that there are EMLX files someplace that store email by folders. I cannot see this anywhere.

  5. Aug 4, 2021 · Posted on Aug 4, 2021 4:27 PM. The files are stored in ~/Library/Mail/V7/ in a subfolder with a unique ID for the name. You can open each and see which "account" that folder holds. Sometimes you can tell from the subfolder names, but otherwise you might need to dig inside each and see what messages are in there.
