The population was 20,700 as of the 2010 census. Yucca Valley lies 20 mi north of Palm Springs, and 103 mi east of Los Angeles. Bordered to the south by the Joshua Tree National Park and to the west by the San Bernardino Mountains, the town of Yucca Valley is located in the Mojave Desert at roughly 3300 ft above sea level.
