The Damage Trap is a Trap in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in the Pre Season.
Damage Traps are a trap which can be placed on any player owned or neutral structure, in any direction or orientation. When an opponent enters the tile they are placed on, the trap will activate, dealing damage.
The Trap can be 'dodged' by entering the tile and quickly leaving. This sets off the trap but does not deal damage.
Damage Traps can be obtained from a variety of places. They are found as floor loot, in chests, in Supply Llamas and in Supply Drops. They drop in stacks of 1 and stack infinitely.
Damage Traps deal 150 damage. They have a 5 second reset time.
•The Damage Trap can be placed inside an enemy structure to catch an opponent on it.
•The Damage Trap can be used to eliminate an enemy by boxing them in with one, forcing the trap to activate and damage the enemy.
The Damage Trap is referred to as Context Trap in the files.
