Emma Donoghue (born October 1969) is an Irish-Canadian novelist, screenwriter, playwright and literary historian. Her 2010 novel Room was a finalist for the Booker Prize and an international best-seller. [2]
Emma Donoghue: Selected Plays, containing my first five works for theatre, is available from Bloomsbury. My first play, I Know My Own Heart (1993), was inspired by the decoded diaries of Yorkshirewoman Anne Lister, and was premiered by Dublin's Glasshouse Productions in 1993.
