Oct 21, 2024 · Park in the village, it’s free, rather than the castle car park (£7.50). The route passes through the village anyhow, so makes sense! Beautiful short walk, follow river path rather than roads to get the best of the scenery.
The garden reaches its full glory between April and the end of June but is a place of special tranquillity and charm at all times of the year. Three marked, circular walks from the car park taking between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours.
