Jun 19, 2019 · Saint Mary of the Rosary Church was built in 1892-1906 by the Parish Priest of Nenagh, Dean Patrick White, and when the first phase of building work was completed, the new church was dedicated in August 1896.

On the last Sunday of May 1970, the town of Nenagh welcomed the opening of a new Catholic church. Situated on the grounds of the town’s 34 year-old hospital, the Church of St John the Baptist was designed by architect Seamus Shesgreen.
The church, which is in the town, is a plain structure, built by a loan of £1300 from the same Board, in 1809; and the Ecclesiastical Commissioners have lately granted £101 for its repair.
