The version on the Antmusic B-side was recorded in 1980 during sessions for the Kings album at Rockfield Studios. The song has been a frequent feature of Ant's live setlists both with the Ants and solo from 1977 to the present day.
All three songs were written by Adam Ant, and were early fan favourites among 'Antpeople'. "Friends" and "Physical" were performed at a John Peel session on 10 July 1978. All three tracks had previously been recorded in 1978 for the Ants' first label Decca Records.

The B-side, Fall in, is an old Ants song from 1977 co written with Lester Square. For the initial release the ADAM AND THE ANTS font on the label is in large bold font and Fall in is only credited to Adam Ant.

Although some overseas singles include the 3:36 album version, the original UK vinyl 7″ single is 3:15. This short version has never appeared on CD to date. Recorded live at Teatro Manzoni, Bologna 25th May 1981. This release is known for having the wrong speed when transferred from tape to vinyl total running time comes to 52.48. It should be around 66 minutes.
