It was the fourth single released from his second studio album, Can't Slow Down, released in June 1984, by Motown, [1] and achieved chart success, particularly in the US and the UK, where it peaked at number three and number 12, respectively.
In 1981, he wrote the smash duet " Endless Love ," which he performed with Diana Ross. As a solo artist, he didn't slow his roll, and by 1984 he was one of the biggest hit-makers in music, still reliably delivering love songs.
