I prefer the remake. One of the finer remakes I've seen in recent years: really brought the ball back to 3D as well. Superior acting, a slightly tighter script than the original, and much, much better pacing. Some nice death scenes in the remake.

Its funny, watching the remake this and the remake of Friday the 13th within a few days of each other, both seem like weird Supernatural offshoots. Jared and Jensen both wear the same outfits and everything, like they just went from set to set.
