Released in Japan from 1995 to 1999, with no international releases other than exports. Split up into:

•B-Daman Bomberman Bakugaiden, starting in 1995.

•Bomberman Bakugaiden II, starting in 1996.

    •Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden III, starting in 1997.

•BB-Daman Bakugaiden / Bakugaiden IV, starting in 1998.

    •BB-Daman Bakugaiden V / Victory, starting 1999.

Released in Japan from 1995-2001, and subsumed some products from the earlier Super Bomberman Series that had begun in 1995. Was not released internationally other than exports. Split up into:

•Super Bomberman B-Daman Series, starting in 1996 and using the Bomber System. This system was still based on the Bomberman characters, but used an updated body construction with interchangeable parts that allowed for swapping of parts with special features as well as making the rear-port drop-in loading system standard.

•OS Gear Series, starting in 1996 and using the Over Shell System. This system revolved around an external frame, the "Over Shell" or "OS", that could be attached to the outside of a B-Daman figure's body. Optional parts could then be attached to the Over Shell. In addition to OS Gear B-Daman, the Over Shell was backwards-compatible to Bomber System B-Daman.

•PI Series, starting in 1998 and using the Plug-In System. This system featured a new type of body frame with interchangeable parts that allowed for body customization similar to future systems.

•PI-EX Series, starting in 1999 and using the Plug-In Extend System. This system was a further development of the Plug-In System that used an updated body frame and new optional parts exclusively for PI-EX bodies, but also retained compatibility with some optional parts that had been released for the original PI system.

•R Series, starting in 2000 and using the Revolution System. This system was the next version of the customizable body concept, and used parts secured with small plastic nuts called "R Rivets".

Released from 2002 to 2005. Split up into:

•DHB Series, starting in 2002 and primarily using the DHB System.

•Limited Model Series, starting in 2002. Released interspersed with DHB System B-Daman, it consisted of recoloured re-releases of earlier Super B-Daman products, and had a very small product selection.

•Zero Series, starting in 2003 and using the Zero System.

•Zero 2 series, starting in 2004 and using the Zero 2 System.

•Zero 2 Strike Shot Series, still using the Zero 2 System. Expanded the capabilities of Zero 2 B-Daman with the release of the DHB Advance core, specialized ammunition in the form of Strike Shots, and numerous cores with complex special features.

Released in Japan from 2005 to 2006, only released in other regions via export. Split into:

•Crash Series, starting in 2005 and using the 3 Block Gear System.

Released starting in 2007. A very short series with few released products. It used metal balls of a smaller size than the marbles used by most B-Daman toys, and featured magnets in both figures and targets that could interact magnetically with the fired balls. It was never released internationally other than via exports.

Released from 2010 to 2013. Split up into:

•Penby Series, starting in 2010 and using the Pen-B System. A preliminary series that was a cross-promotion with the "A Penguin's Troubles" manga and anime series. Used its own penguin-shaped body system, but some customization parts released for it are compatible with later Cross-Fight sub-series.

•Cross Fight Series, starting in 2011 and using the Core Change System.

•Cross Fight eS Series, starting in 2012 and using the Emblem Charge System.
