May 11, 2021 · Here are my tips from my first year as an Oxford Undergraduate: Planning. Plan for success – a good plan really sets your essay in a positive direction, so try to collect your thoughts if you can.
Tell us under what conditions you wrote the essay, with what help, and in what timeframe. Tutors will take that information into account. If you are a mature applicant you can decide (but it is not necessary) to produce a new piece of work, as you may want to give a clearer reflection of your current abilities.
For each piece of academic writing that you set your students, clarify your expectations about: How long the piece of writing should be. How you would like the writing to be structured and formatted. What style of academic referencing conventions should be used. How and when the essay should be submitted.

I would advise you start writing by the beginning of fourth week. You ideally want to submit your thesis to your supervisor by the end of fifth week to give time for review.
