Mar 20, 2024 · Takehiro Tomiyasu has signed a new long-term contract with us. Our Japanese international joined us in August 2021 from Serie A side Bologna and since his signing has played in all positions across the defence, making 73 Arsenal appearances in all competitions.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (冨安 健洋, Tomiyasu Takehiro, born 5 November 1998) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Arsenal and the Japan national team. Mainly a full-back, he can be also be deployed as a centre-back.

After having represented Japan at various youth levels, Tomiyasu made his first appearance for the senior team on 12 October 2018, when he started in a 3-0 victory against Panama.
