In 1954 Mitsubishi Shoji merged with three of its former component companies and started to re-establish its worldwide trading network. A number of associated companies were created during the 1950s, including the Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company and the Mitsubishi Petrochemical Company.
As a result, a vision of a new Mitsubishi Shoji began to emerge.
