Oct 4, 2024 · Claire Burger enter la Fémis in the editing department after an experience as a journalist. After graduating, she directed with Marie Amachoukeli the short film Forbach (Grand Prix at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, Second prize at the Cinéfondation in Cannes 2008), and then C'est gratuit pour les filles (Cesar of the best short film in 2010).
Marie Amachoukeli and Claire Burger met during their studies at La Fémis, Marie studied screenplay and Claire editing. Together they directed the short film Forbach (Grand Prize at Clermont-Ferrand short film Festival), with unprofessional actors playing their own lifes. In 2014, they co-directed Party Girl with Samuel Theis.

In 2005 she joined The FEMIS film school and left it three years later after graduating in editing. After that, Claire Burger first shared her activities between editing and filming before, as of 2010, concentrating on her own work as a director.
