When the console’s creator, Gunpei Yokoi, designed the original Game Boy, he knew that the system needed to be small, light, inexpensive and durable to stand a chance of being successful.
- Original Gameboy – 1989. Gunpei and his team took great pride in their mission to create a portable games console. They needed to design the Gameboy to look like a toy, but feel like a computer.
