- The Sopranos. Mad Men wouldn’t have become the massive phenomenon it was without Jon Hamm’s iconic performance as Don Draper, and the same can be said of The Sopranos and James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano.
- For All Mankind. If you’re anything like Bert Cooper, one of the advertising partners on Mad Men played by the late great Robert Morse, the moon landing stands out as one of the most significant scientific achievements of the 1960s.
- The Deuce. You know how toward the end of Mad Men, its vision of Manhattan was getting a little dark and grimy, reflecting the deterioration of the city that would continue into the 1970s and 1980s?

- North By Northwest. This thriller was released in 1959. It stars Carey Grant and Eva Marie Saint and was directed by the great Alfred Hitchcock. The story is one of mistaken identity.
- Friends With Kids. Jon Hamm became a household name sooner after the premiere of Mad Men in 2007. Hamm's struggles in the industry have been widely told and he serves as an inspiration for a lot of young actors and actresses trying to "make it" in the industry.
