Aug 2, 2024 · The widest ring is located on the outer edge and contains the full name of the educational institution and the year of its appearance: “Arizona State University” and “1885”. The letters are large, thin, straight, and decorated with serifs.
Typography: Custom. Launched: December 7, 1994 (unveiling) March 20, 1995 (launch) Phoenix design firm Esser Design, owned by two ASU alumni, began work on this project in September 1994. This logo was chosen by the school out of five candidates (see above), and cost the school $57,000, paid for by the ASU Foundation.
