Prologue
On June 24-25, 2021, Laura and Max, new counselors at Hackett's Quarry summer camp, drive down the route to camp one night before its opening to check things out. Trying to avoid hitting an unknown creature that suddenly appeared on the road, the two turn off the route and crash into the woods. They are found by the local county sheriff, Travis, who becomes suspicious of their situation. Present Day
Two months later, on August 22, Hackett's Quarry closes. With all the campers gone, counselors Ryan, Kaitlyn, Dylan, Emma, Jacob, Abigail, and Nick are preparing to leave as well. The Quarry follows nine camp counselors of Hackett's Quarry, with all of them can be controlled. The playable characters are young adults, who on the last day of summer camp decide to have one big party to celebrate this event before returning home and moving on with their normal lives.

- Abigail Blyg – Voiced by Ariel Winter. Abigail is a shy and occasionally awkward camp counselor who seemingly aspires to be an artist. Though reserved, she is generally well-respected and loved by her friends.
- Bobby Hackett – Voiced by Ethan Suplee. Bobby Hackett is a large and powerful man who lives in the woods with the rest of his family. Though he doesn’t seem particularly vindictive, he is clearly dangerous, especially when one of his brothers is telling him what to do.
- Chris Hackett – Voiced by David Arquette. Chris is the owner and operator of Hackett’s Quarry summer camp. He’s pretty intense about everyone having the proper summer camp experience, but most of the counselors see him as someone to look up to.
- Constance Hackett – Voiced by Lin Shaye. The matron of the Hackett family also plays a motherly role to the various camp counselors. However, many of the counselors suspect there is a darker side to her often gentle ways.
