Sep 1, 2022 · We found support for the view that intentionality is a folk concept that people spontaneously and consistently attribute to behaviors. Across three different measures, we found a high level of agreement among the study participants across perspectives and definitions.
The Folk Concept of Intentionality. Intentionality is a complex folk concept that specifies under what condi-tions people judge a behavior to be intentional (Malle and Knobe 1997a).
