Aug 22, 2024 · The Jones Loop H-Bar is the original alt bar. It uses a dramatic 45 degree backsweep for a comfy wrist angle while preserving lots of space for bags and gadgets. Its biggest competitor, the Surly Moloko, goes for less radical backsweep and adds mini bullhorns for yet another hand position.
May 1, 2024 · Surly’s take on the Jones bar is the Moloko, with a touch less sweep and two prongs for extra hand positions – which has proved surprisingly useful. Made from stout steel, it also offers a loop into which nests a stowage compartment (see below).
The one thing that is a challenge is more hand positions and mounting gear in the front. Crazy Bars address this while still keeping the 45-degree position, which is basically identical to Jones-bars. The only downside is that they use 25.4mm instead of the more common 31.8 clamp.

Don't get me wrong, Surly's stuff is not known for lightness but you're quibbling over the 709 g Moloko vs the 525 g Loop H-Bar, thats 184 g (~6.5 oz). The more comparably priced SG Loop H-Bar is 625 g, ~ 80 g lighter.
