To apply for Council housing, you need to be a member of the South Tyneside Homes housing scheme. 1. Anyone over 16 years old can register. Applicants under 18 will have their needs assessed by a specialist team. 2. Once you have registered with the housing scheme you will be able to search and bid on homes. 1. Homes are advertised from Thursday 00:01 to Monday 23:59. 2. You can place 3 bids per week from the Choice Based Lettings list. Bids can also be placed on the properties on the Available Now list. 3.
