Dec 1, 2015 · Great spot with superb scientific exploration for the kids. Top notch aviation museum that really wouldn't be expected in such a rural spot. Misawa's aviation history makes this a real gem.

Misawa Aviation and Space Museum. This museum is definitely worth a few hours of your time. Bring the kids and enjoy the Children’s Square, the Aviation Zone and the Science Zone. There are aircraft static displays, simulators, rides and educational gimmicks and training aids.
A few kilometers northeast of Misawa Station, about a 10-minute drive away, is the Aomori Prefectural Misawa Aviation and Science Museum. The building is quite large, as it is located very close to Misawa Airport.
