Dec 17, 2021 · The Detroit Future City independent nonprofit is committed to advancing the quality of life and business for all Detroiters. In 2012 they published a Strategic Framework with the purpose of aligning assets with opportunity and mapping a framework that best coordinated the investment of resources.
The project identifies productive efficiencies by establishing links between social, economic, and ecological systems. These integrated solutions suggest new forms of urban living, new modes of production in the city, and newly productive green infrastructures for the city at large.
Jan 21, 2020 · The 50-year plan is mapped out in the Detroit Future City office. The program awarded its first cohort of grantees in 2016, with installations taking place throughout the city. Since then, the group has invested over $330,000 in communities and vacant land transformation.
