The American International School of Sydney was an international school located in Epping, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. [1] The school operated, in part, under the sponsorship of the United States Ambassador to Australia and awarded the American High School Diploma, which all graduates received upon completion of their studies.
The school is accredited by the American International School curriculum and has the usual standardized tests. It also is accredited by the New South Wales Board of Studies which gives them some more local flavor in some classes than they would be exposed to back home.
The American International School in Sydney is organized into three divisions: Elementary School (K-5), Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12). Each of the three divisions offers an academically challenging curriculum appropriate to the needs of the age group it serves.
