    • Living a slower pace of life. PNG’s culture is very much in contrast to my own – the always-on, getting things done asap German way of working. This country runs on island time.
    • Value the little things. I’ve taken so much for granted my whole life. Like being able to go for a walk outside. Or always getting the exact food I wanted in the supermarket.
    • Maybe I don’t need all this stuff to be happy. PNG doesn’t have Starbucks or McDonalds. There’s no H&M or any of the other clothing brands you find everywhere else in the world.
