I usually find it easiest to locate him in the Dungeon as it is usually easier to locate where he is when he spawns (listen for the direction of the pain sounds when he gets hit). #2. Aug 9, 2012 · In Terraria, there are bound NPCs: the mechanic, the wizard and the goblin tinkerer. They spawn bound underground, you can unbind them by talking to them and they will move into an available house. I've managed to find the first 2 easily, but the goblin tinker keeps eluding me.
i am very new to the game, getting it yesterday, today i beat a goblin raid and i am looking for the tinkerer, on my rare lifeform analyser he appears but disappears after a few seconds, i couldnt find a solution by searching. If you leave the area, things will despawn, bound npc's included.

The Bound Goblin can spawn anywhere in the Cavern layer, to my knowledge. He can even spawn in the Dungeon and Jungle Temple if it's at the Cavern layer.
