The Xaverian Brothers or Congregation of St. Francis Xavier are a Roman Catholic religious institute founded by Theodore James Ryken in Bruges, Belgium, in 1839 and named after Saint Francis Xavier. The institute is dedicated to education.
THE CATHOLIC COLLEGIATE INSTITUTE. In 1862 the Xaverian Brothers began their long association with what was to become the present Xaverian College Manchester when they began to teach in the Catholic Collegiate Institute, All Saints.
In my opinion, Loreto is easier to get to than Xaverian, but the bus journey is longer. Xaverian seems to have more stuff near it than Loreto. Loreto has a better campus in my opinion and seems to be very modern.
Xaverian College is a Roman Catholic college located in Rusholme, Manchester, approximately two miles south of the city centre. Established in 1862, it is recognised as being one of the most oversubscribed sixth form colleges in Greater Manchester, along with Ashton Sixth Form College and Loreto College.
