The service provided BlackBerry users with an environment to browse, download, and update mobile apps, including third-party applications. The service went live on 1 April 2009 ; 15 years ago, originally named BlackBerry App World.

This is the familiar featured list you've seen on your phone. Here you will find the top applications through which you can scroll. Navigation icons on this screen include Featured, Categories, My World, Search and Home. The Featured screen also contains a subcategory with Newest, Top Free, Top Purchased and Recently Updated.
From the Categories screen you can view both free and paid apps according to categories. Within the category you can filter between Paid, Free and All.
Much like on your phone, My World connects with your BlackBerry ID and shows all the applications that are installed, unavailable or uninstalled.
Plain and simple - use the Search to find applications. You can search terms in both titles and descriptions.
To download and install applications, first navigate to the application. Click the Download button. Enter your BlackBerry ID and password if prompted. The application will download followed by a confirmation message. Once the download is complete, the application will show under the All tab.
Applications can only be uninstalled through BlackBerry App World. To do so, navigate to My World. Select the installed application, then choose Delete.
