If Zoro didn’t become a pirate. I think he would’ve become a marine, just because he was already a pirate hunter and probably would’ve gotten recruited by the marines. His goal initially was to become the strongest swordsman so any path was ok by him. Can you imagine him as a marine?

I was wondering about this, because this nickname was given to him when he was bounty hunting over 2 years ago, and now he's become a pirate with a B320,000,000 bounty. But I remembered whenever he gets a bounty, he's called 'Pirate Hunter Zoro' even as close as Dressrosa, which is like around 2 weeks real time.
