Jan 26, 2024 · Issue: MS Edge displays Urdu font in Naskh (Arabic like) style, not in Nastaleeq (Farsi like) style. On Google Chrome an extension enables the browser to display Urdu font in beautiful nastaleeq (nastaliq) style.

Jan 15, 2021 · In my previous laptop, I had installed and configured the 'Noto Naksh Arabic UI' font in custom font settings in both Windows 10 and ubuntu, and chrome was able to render the Urdu text in that custom font.
Urdu fonts appear much better and clear now. You can find the 'Font Settings' at: chrome://settings/fonts. Update (for Firefox): You can change the fonts settings to Noto Sans Arabic UI in Firefox preferences Under Langugage and Appearance section. Feb 6, 2014 · I am trying to use Nastaliq Unicode NFL and the Jameel Noori Nastaleeq fonts for displaying text in Urdu in the browsers. But it isn't displaying properly in any of the browsers. Please suggest a mechanism through which I can display the text in the same format as is displayed in the below site:
