My first death is by pure accident, and I only lost a few amount of things I can easily farm back. But it was annoying I died coz V didn't carry my char, even though I smacked that space button.

Apr 4, 2023 · If you die, you reload at your last save, aka the last time you docked. The game is extremely lenient on death due to how many docks exist, and you lose nothing for dying except whatever you did after undocking. When you die in normal mode, a random event happens based on a bunch of stuff, location, whatever killed you, etc. If some monster saves you from a pistol shrimp, for example, you'll spawn in his cave with your stuff next to you, then he'll offer you one of 4 things, a backpack and a spell are two of the four, don't remember the others.
Apr 20, 2017 · So before any new thing your about to try quick save/visit base or both, then you lose nothing. When you die, you lose items that are not "secured". You will be warned otherwise with the message when entering a safe area (lifepod, base, etc.). - You pick one silver ore. You die before entering a safe area.

Aug 20, 2017 · I usually give my self a reasonable time b4 though. If i die when I start the game because I loaded near bandits and they knocked me out and i lay there bleeding I will load a save. but if I die later I start a new character usually based off the previous and give it a mission to kill what killed his predessor. #10.

Jun 24, 2019 · Make sure you make a base and a bed as soon as possible otherwise you have to respawn in random locations. I thought the timer was more like 5 minutes on your bag that drops when you die.
